The Life

At the edge of a cliff,
I witnessed many things,
Birds flying at their own free-will conquering the sky,
The vast blue sea which ultimately awe-stricken me,

The hours passed seems like only a minute,
Stood there like a student admiring his professor's work,

It felt like an ant in the middle of a desert,
There lies no hassle,
Nor any noises that would drive anyone mad,
Just me and the nature that surrounds me,

I dared myself to take a little risk,
Lending a little faith on my instinct,
I marched forward to the very end of the cliff,
I could have sworn I could hear everything from there,
From the waves hitting the beach,
To the wind playing its tune,
        and to the birds' whisper,

Freedom felt within my grasp,
Peace seems to make sense,
It was gorgeous,
It was pleasing,

I stood there till the moon decided to join me,
And the glimmering stars would later became my roof that night,
I was so perplexed by the complexity of it,
and awed by the multitude of it,
Belittling my very existence,
Making me baffled again of how great I once thought I was.
